I'm finding it very difficult to read the names on the map and aby other infomation that appears in the pop ups. Is there any way to change the font colour or type? Or My glasses?

Scott,
Are you able to send me a picture of what the fonts look like? Some people have reported garbled text, and this has usually been fixed by updating video drivers. If you were able to send me a dxdiag output (instructions on how to do it are posted as a 'sticky' on this forum) then I would be able to offer a more confident solution.
