AI repair ship issue (I believe)

So I noticed a few patches back (dev patches not mine) that their was a cap put on how much you can repair a ship. I then noticed that the AI rarely ever repairs its ships to full capacity.

I just had a scenario were I bombed a UK sub to 2 strength. That sub then went to England, got repaired and came back out but only at strength 7 (maybe 8 do not remember but it was not a 10).

It was the same sub.

I've seen this before but just assumed it was a circumstantial issue.

My thinking on what may be happening is their is a hard number for a ship to return to port and repair and then a number to come back out. It may be reaching that number since repairs are incremental and then moving out withought getting up to the full 10.

Suggested Fix: If what I am saying is correct then I would recommend to let the AI repair to full and ignore the cap. The cap makes sense for human players but I can see how that would be tricky to teach the AI how to do. So let the AI cheat (in this instance as the cheat is so minor) and let it repair to full as long as it has the MPPs to do so.

Not sure if your question is meant for players and or the Devs, but here is my 2cents.

If the AI has trouble getting naval units back to full strength in a SP game then yes, I am ok with that. To be clear this would not affect an MP game and that will remain as is, at incremental build up to full strength.

God knows with frenemies / good players like OCB they don't need any help in their pursuit to destroy my "New World Digital Order into ashes". HeHeHe 🤪😉
