Carrier Reformable?

Post by Lothos »

Question to devs or anyone who may know the answer

How does Reformable work for ships if it was turned on?

Does it go by the current supply level of the ship or does it go by the supply level the hex the ship is in currently is at?

I am asking because a ship can be in a supply 1 hex but have 10 supply.

Main reason I am asking is because this may be a good way to do bottoming out of ships and having them be repaired instead of fully rebuilt (meaning they were sunk in a port).

Anyone know the answer?

I think it will be based on the unit's supply value, but to be honest I've never used this feature with naval units.

I know some people in the past have experimented with it, but I cannot remember the outcome, so I can only suggest running a quick test to see.

Supply hexes at sea don't matter-ships keep their current supply unless combat lowers it (and getting near a port will raise it of course). Hairog did this in his scenarios,

That's a shame, was thinking it could be used to simulate the bottoming of ships so they can be repaired
