I've been refreshing so hard... I'm alternating between writing a thesis paper and refreshing... naturally, one is getting more attention than the other :)

Thanks, found it - a minor site bug that was showing the draft announcement. It should be live soon, we'll post here once we finish the pre-release checks.

On sale now, for 61 Euros, here in Europe. I've been eagerly awaiting it, but that's a surprising price hike in these times of difficulty. Took me by surprise, and an unpleasant surprise. I think it will make many think they would rather wait a year and get it on sale. What was the reasoning behind thinking of this game in those price terms, I wonder>

Yep, $60 in the US. Too be honest I am not surprised. I have been expecting inflation to seep into the gaming world sooner or later. Looks like it is finally here. Inflation is real and painful and affects everybody.

We don't generally discuss pricing as each person's price point is different. In terms of why we chose this one, in short because of the time and effort it took to make the game, this is a fair price in our calculation. It's also similar to other pricing for hard core wargames on our site over the past few years. Yes, over time most things gradually increase in price as the people making them need to earn enough to keep up with increasing costs of living each year.

I have to say that I was tempted to hold off on this game because of the price...but I find that I trust Erik Rutins because of his genuine devotion to wargames and his proven integrity and transparency over the years with Matrix.

Erik, do a YouTube video on this game. That one you did for War in the East really helped get me into that game.

Well, I bought it, of course. And now I'm playing it I do see that it's actually gorgeous to look at and full of a lot of stuff, a lot of functionality, that wasn't present in FCRS. It does feel like a huge step up, hence maybe some price hike was ok, given the price of the monster games you do - the Grigsby titles, I mean - I mean relative to the price of those titles. It seems fantastic so far. Being able to set the SOP is great, big change. Many other things too. Really enjoying it so far. Thanks!

Setting SOP’s is critical to ensuring your units behave the way you need them to.
