Selecting Units In A Stack

Post by HowieWowie »

I must be missing something but when I try to select a unit in a stack of units its really frustrating. If I hover the stack sometimes I can get a pop-up to appear which shows all the units in the stack. But this is hit and miss. Is there a delay? It should be easier. Thanks

The map mouse hover delay can be set in the preferences. I have it a 1000 (1s).
The hotkey for selecting the full stack is Ctrl+S.

But yes it could use some improvement. For one thing, you can multi-select units in the hex hover display using Shift, but if you deselect one, it can't be selected again unless another unit is selected. I guess it's to ensure one unit is always selected?

There should be a hotkey to display the hover overlay, I find it interferes a lot with inspecting the map and would like it turned off and instead use a hotkey.

There is a setting in the Preferences that allows you to change the delay on the pop-up of that window. There is also a hotkey "Ctrl+R" that rotates through units in a stack and "Ctrl+S" that selects a stack.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
