Fellow Wargamers....

The news is rather late, but I just found out....
One of our own passed away Dec-29-2003.

Byron Inglesh.

Any old-timers associated with Gary Grigsby's Pacific War
and the old Pacific War Forum/List should remember
Byron....he was responsible for the last re-write of the
PW-Hint files, and the author of many helpful tips and
many amusing messages. He also helped out testing the
Steel Panthers World At War Mega Campaign,
Watchtower Guadalcanal 1942 Edition…., and was active
in other areas of gaming as well.

For those of you who knew him...
Please Take a Silent Moment to wish Byron "Godspeed"
on his final journey.

Mr. Byron Inglesh
Byron C. Inglesh, 69, of Gaylord, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003 at Otsego Memorial Hospital. Mr. Inglesh was born in Barton City, Mich. on April 27, 1934. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous in Gaylord. He was an accomplished pianist and loved classical music. He enjoyed photography and fishing and loved his cats. He was also a computer game enthusiast and had the opportunity to review several programs for computer games. Mr. Inglesh is survived by his son, Mike (Evonne) of New York City, N.Y.; granddaughter, Amanda Inglesh; a sister, Brenda (Robert J.) Tucker of Southfield; and two nieces, Mercedes and Madelyn. Contributions in memory of Byron Inglesh may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or to the Otsego County Animal Shelter, through the Nelson Funeral Home.

That is terrible news. I conversed with Byron on the old PacWar Forum years ago.

This is indeed sad news! [:(]

Byron was part of my design team in MCWT. He was very easy to work with, had great knowledge of the game, always upbeat, and an important member of the design team.

That is a problem as we get older - we have a habit of losing our friends and fellow war gamers. Life is so short. Godspeed Byron.

Sad to hear about it, I remember byron well, we corresponded at times, I think I helped a bit on the pw hints , looking over it and We played a few by email games.
