Things moving too slowly for my liking. Amphib TFs headed for Tarawa and Wotje.

KB still nowhere to be seen.

Bombardment of Truk has slowed down as flak has beaten down my low-level gun B-25s. I'm moving in some more. Port damage = 68 but there are some renegade ships still in there.

AI-San has really upped his ASW game in today's "last week" he sank four subs a day. Gato boats with high aggression skippers. So, I'm putting lower aggression skippers of Gatos and even beaching a few of my superstars for now.

Question for the board:

I've been trying to upgrade a USMC SBD-3 squadron to "carrier trained." I've had the squadron stationed on a CVE fr four months and the damn thing will not become "carrier trained."

Ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Did you upgrade the squadron to SBD-3s during that time? Not sure if that would disrupt the timeline.

Edit- another thought: the required time onboard a carrier is 120 days IIRC. Was one of your months February? IOW - did your really pass the whole 120 days?

Does it matter if the CVE is in a TF? Or just swinging around the hook in port?

Should the air group be stood down or in a training mode?

He posted 120 days not 20 days. Anyone know if 120 Days is correct?
