Why not put some small bunkers with rectangle and circle shapes?

I did a copy paste of a screen from the SC3 forum. The barbed wire at this scale should not be visible nor the bunkers.

But, putting plenty of bunkers should do the trick for both Maginot and Siegfried lines. For the rest of the cities, same thing I think.

Good work, I definitely like your second proposal. But why does it have to be so clean and so perfect?

I mean why is it so symmetrical. Doing something a little more erratic just describes the actual shape and position of these forts. Here, for example, I have suppressed some dots and added more bunkers with different sizes and rotations.

Also, it will require that some fortifications can be seen when the units are displayed. The advantage is that the river shape is the same for the three hexes. That will help to place the bunkers and small turrets.
