Falklands Download issue--Did I wipe out "tiny?"

Post by rmwilsonjr »

When I finally got to my computer to grab the new Falklands DLC, my "My Page" on Matrix said there was a new download in CMO, version 1.04.114752, dated 11/24/22 which, given the date, I downloaded and installed. I then purchased the new Falklands DLC and downloaded and installed it. Prior to this, I was running Build 1297.1, which came out a few days ago. When I launched the game, the Launch Screen had Falklands "art" as a backdrop and listed v. 1.04.114752 (the one dated yesterday on Matrix) in the upper right corner, but then launches into the old blue spinning globe menu screen where it hangs up without ever showing a menu. It dawned on me after that with recent builds, the Launch Screen showed v 1.05.xxxxx something, something, and reversion to old the blue spinning globe suggested that I wiped out a bunch of recent builds, but since I never get to a menu, I can't tell what build I'm in, and I can't get back into the game.

It is not unusual for a new DLC to be accompanied by a new version of CMSO, so the fact that there was a downloaded dated yesterday didn't surprise me. I should have been more attentive, as clearly a v 1.04 is 'earlier' than 1.05. A warning to the unwary!

Anyway, can you suggest a way out of this? I tried just reloading Build 1297.1 but that just resulted in a string of error messages. Thanks.

It seems I did wipe out "Tiny" and the solution was to reinstall Tiny, update to build 1297.1, reinstall the DLC. Thanks to all the suggestions in the main B1287.1 and Tiny threads

Is there a link to "Tiny" out there? I can't seem to find it, and I have the twirling world issue as well.

I do believe that Tiny, Update, and scenario is the order of events AFTER the twirling world. But, who knows? Going from the BETA to a new scenario is an effort.

Please come up with an official version so that everyone can get back on the same page. There are too many versions, numbers, and changes to keep up with.

DW, I think the "Tiny" release is on your Matrix My Page as the BETA download from August for v 1.05, but don't quote me on that. I still had the original B1243.3 download saved in my directory, so just had to reinstall it. The order I used, successfully, was (1) download and install the new Falklands download for v.1.04.114752 that is dated 11/24/22 on Matrix, THEN (2) reinstall Tiny, and THEN (3) reinstall Build 1297.1. It's working fine for me now.

Is the 1.05 Update what is considered to be "Tiny?" I also have a much smaller B1243.5. I assume that it is the UPDATE that needs to be installed, as the 1243.5 is really very small (exe and two files, I think).

Hello All,
I had the same problem. It was solved by reinstalling 1297.1 and the Tiny update and everything started working again.

Yes, I believe it is v 1.05 download that is the "Tiny". On my Matrix page, it says it is "BETA" which Tiny is.
However, if you are like me and save everything somewhere, you might also find in your downloads a compressed file named "CMO--UpdateComp-v1.05.00.00" that was last modified 5/22/22. That is "Tiny" and I just re-extracted it to my CMO drive, updated to 1297.1 and life was good once again.

Using the file in my downloads also saved me several hours of waiting for "Tiny" to download again.
