If a couple SturmTigers are causing you trouble, then I'd suggest you might be keeping your units a little too close together. I'm playing a game where my opponent bought a bunch of them and it isn't really that big a deal because they don't have that many rounds to shoot before they have to reload and they take a long time to reload. Of course, we're playing on a very big map. On a small map, I guess, SturmTigers could dominate more so.

V2 uses alot of AAA, IMHO. The damn things always slow my advance.

But do you 'strategically place' them in 16 different spots?[X(]

Normal I have 4-8 of them in a 8k-10K battle. However, when I run up against 12-20 I think that is a bit much[:-]

I play PEBM SPWAW, SP2WW2 and SPMBT; and thus have faced quite a variety of opponent's TOE and OOB choices. I really don't care what an opponent chooses and have played games in which my poor, brave British face nothing but Sturmpioneers, Panthers with infra-red and if I see a Panzer IV; it is being used as a scout vehicle, etc., etc.. You can learn a lot from other players choices and it is an evolution in one's own training. For example, in SPMBT, I was shown the effectiveness of a strong heavy ATGM defence via the hard way. Now, I don't leave home without one myself.

Players whom stretch the boundries of reality can be a learning experience; it is also interesting to play what-ifs at various levels. The combined arms concept always prevails.

The only thing I don't like is opponents who limit misc and then use the lack of ordnance against you because they can not win without such limitations. I played an opponent one time who banned heavy SAMs in SPMBT because he like to fly airmobile all around unmolested. I use airmobile a lot; but facing an intergated defense I expect losses. The pride comes in getting my forces thru depite the difficulties.

My last SPWAW game involved facing nothing but Tiger 1's and Royal Tigers. My opponent did not understand the danger of sending them in alone in an attempt to route infantry and engineers, in smoke, I won that game.
