Russia Held, Japan was dug in deep in Japan, well played game ended 1943 when Russia started pushing back and the Allies retook Greece and working on some other random invasions to tie up troops.

Bavre (Axis) vs petedalby (Allies)

Game ends in May 1943 with Allied resignation.

Excellent play from Bavre and I learnt a few things that I hadn't seen before. Bavre may not have many ELO games under his belt but he has an excellent understanding of the game mechanics - far better than mine!

Our game did highlight the now much improved ability of the Luftwaffe to fly and inflict damage in all weathers. I didn't see a single German artillery piece other than the DAK Field Gun. They just weren't needed. Possibly too much of benefit to the Axis and a big challenge to keep Russia going in the game.
