[1.11.12c] Trade kinda functioning

In the attached game, buying price for rare metals in Greenfield is 2.66, for Disturbia it's 31.25. Tariffs are zero and Free Trade is active, regime share a border. Despite this, no trade is taking place at all. Some rares are purchased from Tribes of Man instead, but very low quantities and price there is much higher. 8.14.

Additionally, in this game trade reports are divorced from reality (player has confirmed that this is not what is happening on their end):

Have you actually fixed the trading bug or only the report one? Anyway, I have ran full turns in test games and see no improvement, trade is still not working and there is still nonsense in regime trade reports.

Its the report fix for now. Still have to look into the other part of you report. Thanks for reminding me there were 2 issues.

Thanks a big bunch for that save game. Helped me correct a serious oversight that started to become crippling with large multi-Zone Regimes , likes the one you have. Expect serious improvements on this front next patch.

There is some trade now, but still very little. In the example save file, Rare price is lowest possible in Greenfield but its trade partner, Disturbia, only obtained 91 rare metals over the full turn, and not from Greenfield, despite their traders having 10k free credits. Internal Disturbia price for rares is 25!

Another example of trade not working. Weylend-Yutani corp has sky-high prices for metals, but there is no trade going on and traders don't even want to buy more than 5 metals from me because they are "all stocked up".

Just a bump for generally making trade more relevant.

I get zeros across the board no matter what I do, in single player. Trade in multiplayer could be huge; basically a shared resource pool. which is what 'trade' is.

In single player, cash income doesn't seem to be very important, so simply having more cash income from trade wouldn't make it relevant enough in my game at least. Trade being, say, a flat cash allotment bringing in a limited number of critical resources, or even valuable-that-turn resources, would work for me.

I have found trade to be absolutely vital in single player. I have had no problems with it. Sometimes the traders have money, sometimes they don't. Trade is all that keeps me going at times.

Still found some edge cases where trade would not function as intended due to rare issues. But I think after the next patch all should really have been fixed.

I am not seeing any improvement in the test save. One turn there were 200 rares traded, others zero. Price difference is still 25 per item, traders are stocked with credits. Could you share with us how well the trade is supposed to work (e.g. how much should be traded in this situation)? Are the fixes supposed to work on older saves? Also, it would be great if there was a log with trader decisions somewhere, similar to zone reports.

oh I wasnt taking about *that* trade I meant, good point. Between-regimes trade is what I noticed wasn't doing anything.
Simply buying or selling goods on the market is very useful.

I am confident the next version 1.12i everything concerning the issues in this thread has been addressed.
Remember if you'll be testing a PBEM game.. all players must be on the latest open beta for it to take effect.

I still have "more detailed reporting on trade" on the to-do list, but some other work is taking precedence first. Will get to it though as it is interesting for players, so inclined, to inspect.

Overall trade seems to be functioning, but still international trade sometimes does not make sense, might be partially related to the report issue.

Also, got another game with all but paralyzed trade, attached. In this, for example, Greenfield have just purchased hi-tech parts for 1.7k, yet Tribal traders have no interest in buying any and no interregime trade is going on.
