Automatic Upgrade Morale Boost?

Post by CaesarAug »

Quick query: from the manual, it would seem that the unit morale boosts (per level) applied through automatic upgrade research are a one-time boost…

The game-default normally has a 10% morale boost for only one level of automatic upgrade infantry warfare, armoured warfare, aerial warfare, and naval warfare research, so that implies a one-time +10% morale boost.

But what happens if there were, say, five levels of +10% morale boost?
How would the morale boosts be calculated “one-time” as a unit benefits with additional levels? Does this mean a +10% one-time morale boost morale each time an additional level of respective automatic research is obtained?

In other words, with maxed-out five-level research, does this mean a +10% gain five times (each time a level is researched)? Or does it mean a cumulative +20%, +30%, +40%, +50% for the respective levels researched? Thanks for any clarification!

The gains are cumulative, and are per turn, being increases to the actual morale rather than an extra (absolute figure) of 10% per level. So the actual gains are fairly modest, but they will have an impact over the course of many combats.

I hope that helps clarify it.
