MCOO Overlay

Post by User1984 »

I am a bit unclear about the different areas represented on the MCOO.

The legend mentions crosshatched terrain and hatched terrain. Is the hatched terrain the areas marked with red diagonal lines? If so, I have not been able to locate any crosshatched terrain and am unsure what color it is.

The legend also mentions solid red areas, however I have not seen any of these represented on map.

I searched the various manuals, but was unable to find any graphical representations of the areas shown on the MCOO.

Perfect, thanks for the Legend. Did you create this or is it in one of the manuals?

I will look to add this to revision 2 of the Ops Guide for January. With a handful of other updates and additions as well.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

What are the values that trigger poor mobility and urban classifications?

Poor mobility: mobility < 25

Urban classification: for now, that's a guesstimate looking at concealment (> 50), cover (> 50) and mobility (>50). In the future, we might switch to parsing the terrain descriptions recorded in the .fp10.
