The short answer is no.

The longer answer is no news.

The answer, at least in the main thread, is that they'll finish WitE 2 first.

WITE-2 - what's that mean? More patches or DLCs? I would like more DLCs. I miss the day when there were 6,000 user scenarios for CMx1. They were not all gems, but I would say 1,000 were up to the same standards as bundled scenarios.

This is one problem with niche aspect of these things ... the AAA titles are awash in mods.

DLCs are just scenarios. There are many small bugs in the game itself. Editor not working. To be honest, I only like the campaigns in this game, I mainly play the 1941 campaign. The rest of the scenarios are very rare, mostly for testing.

I am using the scenarios to train with for the Grand Campaign.

I am curious, since I know some are exclusively PBEM. How many play scenarios and how many play campaigns? I could not imagine to PBEM a grand campaign unless I had twin. :)

For the campaign, it is enough to go through three Roads, to Minsk, to Leningrad and to Kyiv. The remaining scenarios are separate episodes of the war. They are interesting, but I think the scale of this game is more suitable for grandiose campaigns. For smaller scenario maps, games like the Panzer Campaign, which I used to play a lot, are more suitable.

Steel Tigers is still on hold. It's not clear when that project might restart as all projects these days involve multiple programmers. In the meantime, Gary has spent some time working on two other new projects. It's too early to say anything about those, but maybe next year we'll be in a position to talk about them. For one of these games, Gary worked on the initial design and code, and then handed over the bulk of the programming and development tasks to others to follow through on. He's still involved, but not writing code.

As for campaigns versus scenarios, on the server today, I found about 2/3 of the games there are C41 games, 5-10% are other campaigns, while the rest are non-campaign scenarios (and I think the number playing non-campaign scenarios is up recently due to Steel Inferno's release). These are H2H games. IIRC, a recent poll showed something like 60% or more of players play against the AI only, and another 20% or so play mostly against the AI. And IIRC, this was a poll on the forum, so if anything, I think this poll was skewed to H2H players. My guess is that more AI players play the smaller scenarios, while for H2H players, the goal is to ultimately to play C41 as quickly as possible. My 2 cents.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Really does sound like Steel Tigers is dead in the water. We where told work on ST would start after GGWITE2 but now we have 2 games coming first. I reckon they realise how many years such an ambitious title would take, more years than they want to use up as they are really at retirement age. They should have seen if they could have got a new team working on it along side of GGWITE2 development, maybe calling in Slitherine help and have Gary and Joel there to use as and when needed. Sad, it's really the only future title from Slitherine I truly wanted.

Seems to be an Urban Legend.
