Desktop App Web Viewer rejects password

When opening SC WWI I get a screen that shows the Desktop App Web Viewer. The Viewer states the server www51.slitherine.com is asking for your user name and password. On the screen is also the statement that the server also reports "LDAP Authentication". After I enter my Matrix games user name and password it says I am not authorized.

Hi Leon,

The game itself should not have anything to do with the Desktop Web App Viewer, so not sure why your operating system is prompting you with that when you launch the game.

Seems as though it is related to Outlook? I found this thread here:

Might be worth contacting Matrix Support on this one to see if they can help as well.

I have the same issue. Has this been resolved somehow?
