Interesting read. The details around Air Force inventories and munition levels gives good insight into various units in CMO.

Also, just the detail around maintenance is amazing.

I'm not sure this is a reliable source. The report claims the USAF is "very weak" and the USN is "weak", which I'd say is entirely incorrect.

Edit: Did some research on the Heritage Foundation. It's a US public policy-focused think tank. The report seems to be focused more on influencing US domestic policy than actually providing a fair assessment of the US military.

The question is always; Weak very relative to what? I have a hard time looking at any other air force 1:1 and saying the USAF is weak, let a lone better overall. Maybe weak compared to the USAF from mid-90s or early-2000s. But is the USAF really very weak compared to the PLAAF or the current Russian AF? That kind of commentary immediately destroys the credibility. Maybe you can argue the case the USAF is weak through its multiple global commitments against a combined PLAAF/Russian AP capability.

With that said, the report still delivers some interesting detail behind its rankings.
