The new emergency feeling of UK
Don't get me wrong. I really like it.
Italians are threatening Egypt.
Germans can do a naval invasion. The Royal Navy is now patrolling each turn to cover Plymouth and Southampton. Royal Air Force is on alert for naval interdiction.
In one game, I have even a real Battle of Britain destroying my factories.
Superb.

Absolutely. Just bought Warplan Bundle for my dad by the way. He is always on Civilization VI. So this Christmas, I hope he will try something else.

Perfect, I suggest you train your father while I train mine. Then we can organize the dads tournament.

I agree. In general I think the UK is most exciting to play. It is always exciting to see what the subs are up to and the economy is not endless so every decsion is diffult. Like can I build a unit or should I upgrade or maybe I need more MM and escorts. With the Germans there is just a land of plenty. As soon as any tech changes just stop building units and in a couple of turns the entire army have new equipment. Rarely any real limitations. I wished more countries were like the UK

@Alvaro - nice addition by the way regarding the airfield strike to add the level of damage. Battle of Britain is on going in one PBEM, my factories are suffering.

Nice but what does it mean. Is it just a flavour text?ncc1701e wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 1:03 pm @Alvaro - nice addition by the way regarding the airfield strike to add the level of damage. Battle of Britain is on going in one PBEM, my factories are suffering.

Certainly but I think this is related to the level of effectiveness lost by the unit.MagicMissile wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 1:07 pmNice but what does it mean. Another thing is Greece. I did not realize but, in the same PBEM, @generalfdog just invades it with Italians.
With Egypt under attack, I am not sure I will send a lot of troops there. Before it was easy to send three infantry corps. Now, this is not so easy. A welcome addition and a more realistic battle for Greece imo. Let's see if Italians are that bad...

Re: The new emergency feeling of UK
Thanks again @Alvaro for the UK modification.
Greece in 1940 just feels right. Italians are as bad as expected. Germany just declares war against Greece to try to save the situation. And, as UK, I can provide 20 PP per turn to try to help but my ressources are limited. Battle of Britain is still on going and I need everything to cover my factories. Maybe I will send one UK infantry corps to Greece next turn but honestly I can't do much more. Crete is secured for now.

The UK starting units have been reduced a lot in terms of manpower. And, at the same time, the experience of Germans submarine has been increased a little.boldairade wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 12:40 pm may i ask what has changed?

As such, the big BEF is no longer possible if you want to save your battle of Atlantic and Egypt.
And, even with this, it is hard to be everywhere at the same time. Hence Greece, hard to send any UK infantry corps to help them if you need to defend your UK main island.
Time to come back and to see it by yourself.
