T11 Yaroslavl

Post by K62_ »

Rendulic keeps driving through the open flank and secures Rybinsk along with a couple of other bridgeheads across the upper Volga. Yaroslavl suddenly looks within reach.

T11 Moscow

Post by K62_ »

In the Moscow area all action is on the flanks. Hoth keeps pushing in the western flank and secures a 5 divisions pocket including N. Moscow. Guderian works hard to encircle 5 cavalry divisions on the eastern flank. Hopefully it's secure - you never know with Soviet cavalry.

T11 Rostov

Post by K62_ »

The opposition in the Rostov area looks light. Despite the late season and General Staff misgivings about logistics, Hitler orders the immediate implementation of Fall Blau. Kleist's PG1 will need to split its effort into two divergent directions: Operation Fischreiher towards Stalingrad and Operation Edelweiss towards the Caucasus.

T11 Krasnodar

Post by K62_ »

Operation Edelweiss starts with a bit of a hiccup in the form of a failed assault on Azov. But the panzers are routed around this obstacle and still manage to cover about half of the remaining distance to Krasnodar.

Very well done, the speed of the advance across the entire front line is spectacular

Thanks, I wish it was a little further at Leningrad but overall I can't complain.

The Soviets give up another hex and I take it. Hopefully the clear weather next turn will allow for some better progress.

T12 Yaroslavl

Post by K62_ »

The Soviet forces fell back from Moscow to avoid the threat of encirclement and also to protect Yaroslavl. Hoth is very busy defending and enlarging the Volga bridgeheads and can't advance much towards Yaroslavl this turn. However a motorized regiment finds the way open on the other side of the Rybinsk Reservoir and captures Cherepovets. This is a very important location.
