[RESOLVED] WOTY version freezes

Just looked at the logs.txt file and it is empty.

* Is the OS fully updated? Graphics drivers updated? Direct-X 9 installed?

Yes

* Is Command running as admin? (ie. prompting you "are you sure you want to run this program" when you launch it)

Yes

* (Steam only) Are Steam overlays disabled for Command?

Yes

* (Steam only) Is Direct-Write disabled on the Steam client?

Yes

* Are all other applications (and especially hardware-helper apps like RivaTuner, Nahimic, MSI Afterburner etc.) shut down?

Yes, I don't use any of those.

* Are you using a high-DPI desktop? (ie. font size >100%)

No

* Are you using Norton antivirus? (This POS is very frequently silently blocking file updates)

I don't use Norton, I use Microsoft Defender on Win10.

p.s. I've just been running the game again and have had it going for an hour now with no freeze. I don't know what to say, just that it has frozen on me and other people in the past and there is no obvious reason as to why.

Until the next time it freezes. I see numerous people on Steam have reported a freezing issue so it is not resolved nor is it just me, but whatever.

This is why one of our tech support guidelines is "one thread per issue", even if the symptoms are similar/identical. You and 10 other people may experience the same thing (freezing or something else), and the root cause may be different in each case.

This is why piling on another's report with "me too" is not really helping anyone. Individual reports, individual investigations.

Until and unless this issue resurfaces for you, your reported issue is resolved. If it does resurface, report it on a new thread. (But do be aware that support for CMANO is severely reduced ATM, as the product has been discontinued and replaced by CMO)
