How can I enable to option to turn flight plans off on the map?

In the below screenshot that someone else posted showing me how to turn flight plans off while playing the game, I see his option to selector deselect them.

In the screenshot below, I'm showing my screen, where that option does not show up. Is there a way to enable it? I've included the 'About' information about Command. I play through Steam, and I have the settings such that it should be auto updating, so I believe it's up to date?

What are your Map-Settings\Plotted Courses set too?
Also what are your Map-Settings\ Mission area/courses set too?



If you set both to none, or even just selected unit\mission, most of that should go away. Perhaps the other player was assuming you were using the beta, and not the stable branch.

In my reply showing the option to turn them off, I specifically stated it was from the beta. That should have been a clue.

Also, is this a duplicate thread?

No matter what I set those to, the flight plans remain on the map, and the option to remove them doesn't appear.

I don't know what the beta is, and no, it's not a duplicate thread, it's a related but different question.

Can you zip up the .scen file or .save file and post it in this thread, I'd like to load it to see what you are seeing.

Yes, thank you. In case any of this matters, it's a use created scenario that I have then heavily edited myself, and I tend to play it in the editor at this point. I"ve checked and the flight plan option doesn't appear in regular mode either. Thanks for your help with this.

Thanks, helped clarify things yeah 1147.52 (and at least back to .44) is not obeying the mission area\course 'do not show' when it comes to strike-mission flight paths (it is obeying it for patrol\support missions\areas etc). Presumably this so people can more easily edit\tweak the generated strike paths, but yeah I don't like that it's not obeying the don't show setting either, just more clutter and things to draw on screen if you're not actually trying to edit flight paths. I guess you could report in tech-support but I got a feeling since it's already addressed in newer versions (still in beta) both with the new flight planner stuff and settings (that the thewood posted pics of) and that said beta's are rumored to be released in near future this may not get addressed for the 1147.52 branch. In short you're probably just have to live with it in the short term till the current betas become official releases (or try out the beta version). I swear at some point in the past 1147.xx, perhaps more distant than I thought, did obey those settings for strike mission routes, but maybe not.

If it's any consolation your scene did help me spot a completely different bug in the newer beta though!
