Vlad Port Attack Japanese Ships Bug

Post by archmache »

When a japanese ship is on the red hexes it will be attacked until 1, but will not go below 1 point. So the japanese just put a MT there, reduce it to 1 and then it never sinks, but still interdicts supply.

Currently the use of STRENGTH scripts (which we use here for this event) does not allow for the destruction of the unit, e.g. does not allow for strength to drop below 1, which results in what you've noticed in game.

We are mulling this over to see if there are any options or alternatives we can consider for a situation like this.

How about adjusting the effectiveness of the 'blockade'/interdiction to be made dependent upon the type of unit and its strength performing said interdiction?

Agreed - if below strength 5 it should have no effect. The MT thing is a gimmick.
