Question before I buy

Hello, I am thinking of buying this game because the reviews have been great and I like the time period. I was wondering if it would be possible to recreate the first game's campaigns in this game? I don't necessarily want to play the original game due to all of the updates to the engine but I don't want to miss out. Is there a mod, or one in progress, that incorporates the original campaigns?

The developers have mentioned a few times they will be redoing Red Storm in the new engine. Not sure what scenarios/campaigns will make the cut though.

To answer your question, no. The maps are not in Southern Storm that you would need to redo them yourself. We are going to be redoing a majority of the Red Storm scenarios and campaigns in both Central and Northern Storm DLCs along with new content and countries.
