search arc range

Post by bush »

I am fully aware of the discussion(s) regarding setting search arcs. My question is, will there will be 360 degree coverage for the first 4 hexes regardless of the range I manually set? So for example, I set up an arc from 270-290, but with only a range of 2. Will I get 360 coverage out to a range of 4 regardless?

As far as I know, yes. But why only two hexes? Enemy air coverage?
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Yes.

2nd part of question. If I am going for 360 coverage, let's say at Midway. If I have NO arc set, do I need to set the range at 4 to get that "auto" coverage? If I put the range at 0 will the auto search still be conducted out to a range of 4?

Thanks.
