Artillery bombardment does not reduce the soft parameters of the bombed unit

Post by rodolfol »

I used several of my artillery units for a large number of artillery preparations over several turns, I didn't keep a careful count, but I must have fired hundreds of 122mm shells.
These shells caused some immediate damage to the bombarded units at first, but then the effect diminished and after a few turns they were completely ineffective.
If you explain this by the fact that the easily bombarded locations have already been covered, how do you explain the readiness and morale of these units? I don't even care if the artillery bombardment caused direct kills, but what is the reason why hundreds of 122mm shells had no effect at all?

We have looked into this issue before and we are discussing if we need to adjust the code to better reflect the type of round fired (size). The change in how artillery fires in Southern Storm has caused some of the soft factor effects to get muted by the change in value of the morale check.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
