Yellow ground attack text

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Yellow ground attack text

Post by StoneAge »

I have been attacking ground units in Italy, during the attacks you get the messages when a unit attacks.

What I am wondering is what the colours of these messages mean
  • Some times the message is in white text
  • Some times the message is in yellow text
Same message format just different colours, I have a feeling they could mean
  • White = destroyed
  • yellow = damaged
Also the * on the end of the message, I guess is how many of this type of unit has been hit as the message flashes and the number of * goes up

There is no meaning with the text color really, it was just a coding quirk. I set it now so all combat-type messages are yellow to avoid confusion.

the "***" is just a basic means to visually track multiple hits on different target types at the location.

Funny how the human mind works. Always trying to find patterns even when there are no patterns, just random colours
