Half screen display blurred

Post by s96825 »

I seem to have a display issue where there is half a screen of lag. I have a screenshot for reference. Often the screen blurs. The work around is I simply press an arrow key left or right and it fixes - the blur goes away. The problem is during the turn when the enemy moves I cannot use the arrow key to unblur. Some of the movements are blurred and I cannot see, for example, enemy TFs moving during the turn - I have to scan the map after the turn to see where the enemy moved.

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

You need to do one or both of these things. Reboot your computer and reload the game. Are you using any map mods?....GP

And I don't think the game supports your desired px py resolution.

And the range circles, or any other overlays. They use up huge amounts of video memory, especially when moving the map image.

Thanks, I believe hexside details are off.

I turned off the range rings and hope that helps.

Is resolution through the Seabee app? What resolution would work better?

From the screenshot your resolution seems to be 3440x1440.

No such resolution here, that is 1920x1080, these are the switches I use.

-px1920 -py1080 -nofire -deepColor -skipVideo -altFont -dd_sw

So cannot comment for sure, but I would try lower resolutions that your monitor supports, until you find the higher you may use without bugs.

The thing to do about checking for native resolutions is to Right Click on the Desktop screen. It will show your video card or chip software as a choice. Left Click on that, and see what settings it offers as standard.

Thanks, I am trying a different setting using the Seabee app so we'll see, hopefully it runs better.

I don't have a link to it, but someone in the past had trouble trying to use a horizonal resolution over about 3000. Try using -pxf3000 -pyf1400 and see it that will cure your problem. You can adjust some after you get a stable display.
