System Crash

Post by ATCSLENHART »

Purchased a new computer (12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F 2.10 GHz processor with 16.0 GB RAM) OS is Windows 11 Version 22H2. Loaded the game from the original DVD, installed 1126a and then 1126b and used Seabee to setup as follows: Performance Switches selected Multi-Core Hybrid Modes to SingleCpuStart, Pick Core Affinity to cpu1, deepColor, dd_sw and Display Switches to Mode w, Force Resolution no, altFont, skipVideo, fixedArt. The games runs for a short time and then the computer crashes with the blue screen of death showing "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE.ERROR. Any help here?

CDs and DVDs have a shelf life for the data on them. Enough time has passed that your original game DVD may be corrupted. If you have registered the DVD serial number you can download from Matrix.

My dad was in the USN during WW II, so we did eat Spam on occasion when I grew up. Probably why I am a bit porky now.
