New ELO Mirror match. PanzerRommel vs lwarmonger

First ranked game playing against PanzerRommel, but we've done unranked matches before (usually mirrors) and those have been fun. Good luck!

Good pace. Game finished with lwarmonger victory in 1943 when MrLongLeg resigned. All three capital's for the Soviet Union were captured along with Cairo. U.S. landing in Libya failed to prevent the capture of Cairo. Large forces in both France and Italy preclude an Allied invasion of Europe. Japanese and U.S. somewhat stalemated around Truk, while the U.S. counterattack to retake Hawaii, taken as part of the initial Japanese offensive, largely bogged down (lots of time spent trying to reduce the outer Japanese islands).

Strangely I got both Peru and Argentina on my side, so Germany began working on building a South American Empire.

Lot of fun! Would play against MrLongLeg again!

[ELOs Ended]

Thunderlizard11 [Win] (axis) v. Pekkavilamoura [Loss] (allies) - Allies surrendor in Sept 43 with Soviets about to collapse, ME under German control and China in trouble. Allies went with a Pacific first approach building 3CVLs, 3 SS, many AVL/SF, etc. However, this left Germans free to roam unfettered which they did. Nice game by pekka with good speed on returning turns.

Thunderlizard11 [Win] (axis) v. kaigab [Loss] (allies) - Allies surrender July 44 after collapse of Soviets in May. Allies had massive invasion of France underway which Axis pushed into sea after moving units to Western front after Soviet surrender. Allies making good push in Pacific with line from Truk to Wake to Midway under Allied control but limited investment in Pacific as focus was Europe first. China holding strong as well and N. Africa controlled by Brits. Strong play by kaigab and excellent return of turns.

ELO ended.

Bavre (Allies) wins vs Archmache (Axis)

Chad China + DEI diplo gambit kicked the Tenno in the balls very early, the rest was a lot of snowballing. Arch fought to the last man, with the Duce's heroic Italians being the last to go down.

ELO ended

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs Pekkavilamoura (Allies) --- Brits put strong defense into France. After punishing the stubborn, lead Luftwaffe units were able to spot English Channel Western Seaport open. Really wasn't planning on it, but I don't turn down this opportunity. Was able to destroy more units, capture the Queen after a few months eating in London. Watch Wimbledon, the Nazi contestant won. No Jesse Owens Olympics 1940.

Since England was getting worked, Egypt was easy enough. Italians helped and held East Africa.

Japs were Japs, and do what Japs do. Pounded Pearl Harbor. Won massive Naval battle South of Guadalcanal in 1941. Second major naval battle West of Hawaii produced more dead Yankee Sailors.

Too much Legend. In 1944, the English had enough after Swiss and Spanish surrendered.

Russia, still remained, but doomed, with German industry and no Brits.

ELO

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs boudi (Allies) --- Gave this dude my A-game in France. We started this game over Christmas 2022, the day the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. (personally, I prefer a more accurate date, but birthday worship really isn't mentioned nor necessary).

With clean focus, went thru the French like a World Champ. Battered the Royal Air Force. Egypt was given the Super-Panzer treatment, snagged Jerusalem in early 1941.

Operation Barby was launched in March 1941.

Things were rolling, then can the ghost. Not Casper or the Holy Ghost, but my used the verb form. Ghosted. Hopefully he is okay. His cardboard troops, weren't.

Game, set, match.
