I attracted a lot of the main German AI forces in the swamp area and slowed them down
Then somehow AI Repeatedly exposed its flank, and was surrounded

I have done many campagin, both ger and sov ,
I suggest some improvements to the current campaign:

1. The replenishment of troops is very ,very slow.
TOE even continues to decrease without contact with enemy.

This is a problem for both the German and the Soviet armies.
I have a lot of manpower but I can't replenish TOE.* (refit is turned on, in well-supplied areas, even in the rear)
There must be something wrong with the system.
I'm not the only one who thinks this is a problem. In my community of players, they all agree something wrong with the system

To replenish the troops, I needed to send them back to the Reserve BOX and then rail them back to the front.

2. To simulate history, the game , At some point in the early period, the Soviets forced their TOE changes,
Even if I managed to hold the Germans before Vitebsk, Pskov and Zhitomir,
Even if the Sov troops's losses are few,
This TOE change is also enforced,

This has significantly reduced the effectiveness of some units
Should there be an option for the player to control the TOE changes?

3. the Soviet tanks were producing very fast, but no TOE was using them in large numbers.

There was one campagin, in 1942 summer, I had 6,000 to 8,000 tanks in Pool,
No TOE use these tanks , only useless tank bridge

The game just "assumes" that the Sov will lose a large number of tanks and equiment early periord,
thus using small tank TOE and smaller Inf TOE.

These smaller units are much poor in combat effectiveness.
Since there is only room for 3 units in a HEX,
putting bridge will only have a negative effect,

I know that i can put the troops in 'Reserve', and they can fight behind the front line HEX
But this is an unstable way to engage in combat (in particular for sov, have less chance of triggering), For the most case, the army relies on the first front line to fight

The Soviets have tanks Corp as late as 1943,
Since SOV Tank Corp had relatively fewer TOE men and heavy equipment,
Tank Corp is much less useful than mechanized Corp and infantry Corp

Suggest playing the AI on Challenging or Hard, if that is too easy try Impossible. Failing that find a human.

But it has to be said the AI is really bad at covering its flanks. I play Road to Leningrad a lot, and once I completely encircled all of AGN and invaded Prussia. Fun but slightly silly.

Oh, I agree the AI is limited in what it can and can't do, hence the suggestion to play a human.

So the game is too easy for you and you want it to be even easier?

The game assumes nothing, the Devs put in historical production data.
You can support me in explaining the Devs that A2G-Aircraft-Cannon penetration values are mostly mixed up with Anti-armor values. Fixing this will fix some of the tank-pool-issue you have since planes will officially have a chance of harming, not just disrupting tanks. ;)

I guess you already know but some smaller Units are Multi-Role units which may be used as SUs, dunno if that's the case for the ones you are referring to.

Play a human or play the grand campaign scenario with early end. Play as Axis and try to win by the turn 16 700 point check which is pretty close to what the Germans planned/hoped for. That will be difficult even on Normal settings.

Every AI has a problem with flanks. Always.
