To many surprise points to Italy for any fun stuff to happen. Axis rolled 2, Allies 7.

How to proceed? I'll continue with 'avoid combat' and go back if something else should be selected instead.

No, USSR is not flying any planes.

I would have declared it if they had flown any. USSR would have the ability to intercept, since that step is after, but they have no air in range.

So No USSR air will be involved. Axis can do as they wish unimpeded.

The attack is a success as the German invasion pocket is eliminated, and the units destroyed. However, getting the Soviet army disorganized with the tiniest of margins was not as good result as was hoped for.
