[FIXED] Error loading Showcase - Ford Class

Post by coh7res »

Greetings:

I am getting an error message saying that I am not running Version 1.05 1307.5 when I try to load the Command Showcase Ford class. I have confirmed that I am running Version 1.05 1307.7. Reloaded everything twice with no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Can you run through the steps of what you are doing to install the DLC......if you are on the correct version it shouldn't be giving you this error.

Have you used the 1.05.1307 setup installer, then updated to the latest version? (1.05.1307 currently)

When you purchase Command DLC's, it provides you with a small DLC unlocker, which requires you to be on the latest compatible version with the DLC.

I downloaded the latest update (1.05.1307) from the link in the post from on the Forum, then unzipped it on top of the installation on my laptop. The updated installation runs fine. I’ve done this successfully for all of the different updates. I did go directly from update 1.05.1304 to 1.05.1307, if that makes any difference.

I then unzip the latest installer off the Matrix site, run it and it gives me this error message. Doesn't even give me a chance to key the serial number. Not sure what I may have done wrong. I've never had any issue loading the other DLCs (I have them all).

So the latest official update updated correctly and didn't give you the same pop up as the DLC installer?

They both work under similar logic, so the update should/would only apply if you are above a certain version. When the Warplanner aka tiny Update released, it came with a remaster to address file structure changes and additions etc. This version was v1.05.1307, so the update will not allow any users to apply the update if their version was below this.

The current latest version is 1.05.1307.5.

Did you apply the remaster installer or did you try and update directly from below version 1.05?

This is what shows when I run the simulation. I assume it means I am on the most current build.

This is the non-Steam version?

Do you have more than one copy of Command installed on your PC? Sounds like the registry is recording a different version of Command; the standalone installer would be checking the Windows registry.

Got this from the Matrix site (I’ve never used Steam), and I only have the one copy of CMO loaded on this laptop. Starting to think I need to bite the bullet and load a new/fresh version of CMO. Any other suggestions before I take that plunge?

I loaded the latest update off the main start menu and it resolved the issue (I must've been on the wrong version of the game).

My apologies for not updating this sooner...
