Ground Unit Air Interdiction Question

Post by scout1 »

Playing my first scenario (France 40) and have noticed that air interdiction only occurs (or at least displayed) when the units passes thru a cross road or town .... Not once has it been identified along the road elsewhere or cross country.

As designed ?

I haven't tried to intentionally bypass the town/cross roads yet to see if the unit isn't interdicted or not ....

It also seems to happen at Airfields quite often. It may be that the program doesn't watch every hex with the same vigilance.

Spotted and observed locations are most likely going to be targets of interdiction. Airfields are poison.

9.1.5. Intelligence Gathering
(Advanced Rules)
Theater Reconnaissance is more likely to observe
locations with Roads, Anchorage locations, Airbases,
or large concentrations of Motorized equipment.
Airfields with Air units will almost certainly be
observed. Theater Reconnaissance is less likely to
observe locations with Hills, Badlands, Mountains,
Dense Urban, Light Woods, Jungle, or Forest terrain,
as well as locations with hazy or (especially) overcast
visibility conditions

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.
