[FIXED] Game drops out of high speed to 1x repeatedly then does not resume high speed.

I'm playing a scenario called the Enemy Below in the Silent Service DLC. I understand the game can drop out of "fire" and "double fire" speeds to 1x if some calculations need to get done and cannot be done when the game is running high speed, however, shouldn't go back to high speed automatically if the nothing the user can see (like a log change or new map object) has changed? I have situations where it drops to 1x then I have click back on high speed then it runs for a second and drops back to 1x, then I click high speed again, etc... and there's absolutely nothing I can see on the screen that has changed. It's super annoying to have to keep putting back into high speed mode over and over.

Can you check the message options (On the Game Options window), if any message type is configured to reset time accel to 1x ?

New Surface Contact and New Underwater Contact are the only two I have set to push it to 1x. So, your question made me do another test and I found a clue(s).

If I turn off every single flag to go to 1x in the message log options it continues to run at full speed until a pop-up about a new radar contact stops it and when I close the pop-up it continues at high speed. That's exactly what I would expect.

However, when I set the options to slow to 1x on New Surface and New Underwater Contact it stops even when I see nothing new on the map. In other words, it appears to stopping for some "invisible contact" or just because it hates me :D So, I think there is bug with either the scenario or the actual game.

I have attached a save with the flags set so you can see if you can replicate this.

Found it.

What is happening is that the "This message type is set to slam the brakes on time-accel?" check was not taking into account if the side for which this setting applied was the one actually being human-controlled. So you would get slowed down by similarly-configured messages being generated for any of the computer-controlled sides.

Fixed for the next update.
