Is there a way to mark a system off-limit and stop ships flying to certain death?

Post by edpovi »

Started a new game with the DLC, and noticed that it's hard to stop ships from flying to dangerous systems.
Is there a way to set a system such that ships will not fly there?

There is a Independent Colony that has a 17,000 STR Insta-death Battleship (Mortanlan AI) that kills anything that wanders towards it and another that advertises that it has Free Fuel, but the catch being it is surrounded by High-Tech Defense Stations.

The Ikuro has a goal of not losing ships, so it would be nice not to have to run at slow speed just to tediously divert ships heading that way. And there seems to be no way to stop civilian ships from flying into certain death.

Thanks for any tips you have!

Thank you for confirming that I wasn't missing a way to stop the suicidal ships.

It's unfortunate as it's rather tedious turn away the state ships, and the civvies are just doomed.

Change their timing on when they escape, set all your civilian ships to escape when an enemy is nearby, that will generally save them without you having to do anything almost all the time. I think that probably should be default behaviour for all civilian ships.

Well, you could of course controll everything manually and save your ships from getting there... but you'll have to do it for all of them, I'm affraid - until you can fight those nasty Mortalen - ore at least this ship (...or you can even blast them to (data-) Nirvana - wth the mighty game-editor - instantly). ;)
(but I guess this is both NOT want you wanted, right ?)
