Replacements Russia
I have some British units that have moved into Russia. However, they don't seem to be able to receive replacements. Is that a correct outcome? Is there some artificial limitation?

While Brittan and Russia are allies they don't share allied supply... Russia sit in a separate sphere outside UK/USA/France/Poland.

Re: Replacements Russia
As of the 1.03 patch the Soviet Union was noted as longer considered a cooperative Major Power, so the maximum supply it can provide any western Allied units in it's territory is now 3. You can't operate western units in their territory either. Tough place to be if you're not Russian.
Re: Replacements Russia
Thanks for the response. The British units don't seem to be getting supply 3 either, as I could not give them any replacements.

The supply level in a hex would have to be at least six to reinforce a depleted unit back up to a full ten.Scarz wrote: Fri Mar 31, 2023 6:02 am Thanks for the response. The British units don't seem to be getting supply 3 either, as I could not give them any replacements.

Western Allies can get 5 supply in USSR ports. 3 supply in other towns. Soviet authorities basically will interfere with Western land intervention but will gladly take all the convoy income they can get from from the west.

Re: Replacements Russia
So in theory, if you placed a Western Allied HQ in a Soviet port, if could provided 6 supply to Western Allied units of the same faction up to two hexes away, which would allow them to fully reinforce. Still probably not worth doing.OldCrowBalthazor wrote: Fri Mar 31, 2023 10:53 am Western Allies can get 5 supply in USSR ports. 3 supply in other towns. Re: Replacements Russia
No but it helped me once in a game as Allies covering all the Soviet ports in the Pacific when I thought the Soviets might fall. Didn't want Germans interfering with my take down of Japan. I called it Operation Yenesei and managed to get some Chinese units as far as Novosibirsk etc too, though supply sucked eggs.OxfordGuy3 wrote: Fri Mar 31, 2023 11:08 amSo in theory, if you placed a Western Allied HQ in a Soviet port, if could provided 6 supply to Western Allied units of the same faction up to two hexes away, which would allow them to fully reinforce. Btw Death of Stalin one of my favorite movies, and the scene of Zhukov striding in the room looking for a drink the best part...which is your profile pic. Hilarious!

Yeah, it's a brilliant film, and Zhukov is wonderfully (over-)acted by Jason Isaacs. I also love how Beria is portrayed as such a creep (which he was: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavrentiy_Beria )OldCrowBalthazor wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2023 6:52 am Btw Death of Stalin one of my favorite movies, and the scene of Zhukov striding in the room looking for a drink the best part...which is your profile pic. Re: Replacements Russia
Ok, so I retreated the British units out of Russia to Persia, but still can not receive replacements. Does the prohibition extend to Persia too?
Thanks.

Re: Replacements Russia
Are these units in a part of Persia that is Soviet controlled territory?Scarz wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 5:01 pm Ok, so I retreated the British units out of Russia to Persia, but still can not receive replacements. Does the prohibition extend to Persia too?
Re: Replacements Russia
I don't know, I guess I never knew that part of Persia was considered Russian territory. They are in the capital, north of the capital and at least one unit south of the capital.

Re: Replacements Russia
There is a optional switch where the hexes under a nation's control will all display the same color. The Soviet Union's hexes read red of course, which make them far easier to read than the German gray or the British khaki. If I recall there is a Decision Event where Russia and Britain can declare war on Persia and then instantly divide it's territory (and MPPs) between them in a bloodless conquest. Your Brits might still be in the Soviet zone in the north.

Re: Replacements Russia
It's not a very even division. The Russians get most of the real estate, but the British get all the lovely Gulf oil wells.Platoonist wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:08 pm If I recall there is a Decision Event where Russia and Britain can declare war on Persia and then instantly divide it's territory (and MPPs) between them in a bloodless conquest.
