No offense to the developers, who have done an amazing job, but IMO the weather in the larger campaigns needs to be much more variable.

It seems to me so far that 9/10 times, if it is raining in Odessa, it's also raining all the way up in Leningrad. This really breaks up the immersion. I've never been to Russia, but I don't think the weather there is uniform over an entire 1,800 mile stretch. Realistically there would be patches of light rain here, patches of heavy rain there, and sunny patches elsewhere on an entire continent. It would be far more interesting if you could say "I'm sending my units this way, I see its snowing over in that patch."

In addition, with turns lasting an entire week, I believe there would be a dominant rain covering the whole continent at the most 2-3 weeks in a row before at least some ares break up with a little sunshine, not two or three solid months.

To sum up, I feel the weather should be broken up into smaller fronts so it can be more localized in places, and change from week to week more often. Yes, have a (mostly) rainy spell and (mostly) a bad Winter, but break it up more. Variety is the spice of life!

Or weather shouldn't change mid-week (when the side changes but it's the same turn still) and instead change at the start of the week/on new turn.
