1134 Sending fleets across the galaxy constantly

I no longer think this is due to accidental selection & click-through.

Click-through is definitely a problem in dw2 - but I now see copious evidence that this is something else.

The game seems to be sending fleets - set to 33% of fuel range - literally across the galaxy.

This is - obscene. A total deal-breaker. Broken beyond use.
I'll file a bug report on the forums. But this is the last straw for a while.

Please make this game work at a minimally competent level.

Everytime I think It's worth another shot - I end up rage-quitting in exasperation because so much of the engine just doesn't work even remotely reasonably well.

This is reasonably performant - albeit it has issue - but pathfinding and sending fleets on endless goose-chases are a deal-breaker for me.

Read the section IMPORTANT NOTES for patch 1.1.3.2+
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 1&t=394236
IMPORTANT NOTES: This is the first of a new series of experimental "performance" betas. We've been working behind the scenes for months to try to fix the most significant performance issues with Distant Worlds 2, which involved making quite a few low level changes which affected just about every area of the game. You will find that as a result, performance is vastly improved in this new build. However, despite many weeks of stabilization testing, we expect there will be more new bugs than in most betas because of the magnitude of changes (months of work) that are now going out to the public for the first time. Thanks in advance for helping us test this out. Please let us know how you find the performance and any new bugs you may encounter.

Yeah, stick to official patches unless you're willing to endure some extra bugginess. That's why beta patches are opt-in.

Hey morons who can't read the name of this forum:
THIS IS THE BUG REPORT FORUM.

FOR BETAS especially, since that what they need feedback and bug reports on the most (and have asked).

Go play drool-on-yourself in the mirror somewhere else, hmmm?

The response was in reference to you throwing a temper tantrum like a child. But perhaps you are a child, I don't know you. If you are a small child, I apologize. If you aren't, perhaps some self-reflection on your behaviour is in order.

Right, which begs the question why are you using the beta version based on the tantrum you threw in the original post:

If a functioning, stable game is important to you, why are you playing the beta?

By definition beta's are buggy, unstable, experimental versions of the game. That's what they are for, ironing out issues. If you are unprepared to deal with issues, then don't play the beta.

We are not seeing this in our testing at all. Do you have any way to reproduce this and is it happening with fully automated fleets or only manual ones? Does this seem to have become worse for you with the new experimental performance betas?

I'm sorry it's causing you so much frustration, but I'd suggest you take some time away from the game. If it's not fun for you, just take a break. We will continue improving it.

Erik - I included a save file in the OP. It happens regularly - so regularly that this game is unplayable.

If you'd like to schedule a time to watch me play the game while it is happening, so you can see, we can make that happen. But as to repro'ing yourself - load the game on 1134, and give it a little time - check regularly on fleets 1-3, and in a short time one or more of them will be given order to fly half way across the galaxy (the screenshot I included is a recurring order- you'll see that one or others like it).

Did you try loading this and monitoring it for 5 on 4x or so?
