Command 1.05.1307.12 Official Update Available now

Post by SamSlitherine »

Hi Everyone,

The latest official version of Command is ready for you to download and play.

The update can be downloaded from the 'check for update' button on the launcher, Command Product Page, and the Public download area.

Please see the changelog below for the latest changes.

* ADDED: New zone creation "wizard" (from highlighted RPs) in Missions + Ref. Points menu
* ADDED: 2 new Zone Shift+RMB interactions : RENAME and DELETE (zone/zones+asociated RPs)
* ADDED: Various features to easily create usable zones)
* ADDED: Cargo Delivery mission now supports vehicle self-transport

* TWEAK: Wholly revised calculation of drag coefficient for boost-coast missiles, based on the equations on Eugene Fleeman's "Tactical Missile Design" (Example: https://imgur.com/a/ok0hRwT)(huge props to Ian for guiding research). For many missiles this results in greater auto-calculated boost-burn times, which in turn results in improved performance at lower altitudes.

* TWEAK: Align ME Home base logic
* TWEAK: [Lua] UseCustomIntermittentEmissionOnly added as a unit's scope attribute
* TWEAK: [Lua] ScenEdit_HostUnitToParent

* FIXED: #14954: Specs fetch in benchmark
* FIXED: Weapon expenditure count
* FIXED: CTD when editing or creating nav or exclusion zones when no side is defined
* FIXED: CTD when attempting to merge units without defined side (such as in the starting menu)
* FIXED: CTD when selecting quick turn around without defined side (such as in the starting menu)
* FIXED: CTD when RTB a unit without defined side (such as in the starting menu)
* FIXED: CTD when opening doctrine form in starting menu
* FIXED: SQLite exceptions causing missing units when rebuilding a scenario and using an INI file
* FIXED: Re: Incompatible Flight Plans and Aircraft Armaments - Investigating a Potential Issue
* FIXED: If a sensor tracking/illuminating a target for fire-control is not able to re-acquire, stop tracking the target even if it is still detecting by another non-tracking sensor
* FIXED: #14945: Scenario "pausing" every minute
* FIXED: #14938: Issues with manual Firing allocation of certain weapons
* FIXED: #14932: Not firing the rounds it should
* FIXED: #14927: 1307.9 Order of battle Exception
* FIXED: #14924: [1307.9] Filtering of flight plans is not working well when flightplan is opened from mission editor
* FIXED: "Unit Destroyed" trigger fires when unit side is changed
* FIXED: [Lua] Issue with ScenEdit_HostUnitToParent
* FIXED: AAW missiles with mid-course datalink guidance could be guided even if the guidance provider was tracking the target with a non-AAW-FC-grade sensor (e.g. Mk1 Eyeball)
* FIXED: AAW missiles with a <5-sec burn time (e.g. SR-AAMs) were not accelerating fast enough in order to reach their maximum speed-at-altitude at burnout
* FIXED: #14963: 1307.11 Mission Editor Home base selection not showing grouped airbases
* FIXED: Messages with identical time stamp shown out of sequence in message log UI

Includes fixes and tweaks on the following scenarios, by Brandon:

Thanks, so if I understand it this is different from the Steam Beta and doesn't have day/night weather update?
Either way, thanks.

Yes, these are distinctly separate branches. They share most of the fixes and new features, but not all of them.

I am getting an error in both the "update" process from the CMO menu (check for updates) and after downloading the large zip for this version. It says....
COMMAND: Modern operations Version too low
The minimum version needed to run this update is v1.05.1307.
....

I Have version 1.05.1307.11... What should be done . (I got the same error trying to install the FORD showcase). Been waiting for an official release to install that one, but I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Hi,

This sounds like you might not have used the remaster installer (1.05.1307 on the product page download)

The official updates require you to use that to be able to move forward with official patches. This includes DLC installers.

Great! but I've got a couple questions:

1) Is the Targeting Priority from Build 1307.11 included? Or was that simply shifted over to the 64-bit beta?

2) Thanks for the updates on those scenarios, but an FYI again that the two Bonus scenarios in the Falklands DLC need to be revised. By default, the Carrier magazines are empty.
This is fixed simply by rebuilding the scenario and applying the .ini file, but revised scenario files should be issued in the next patch.

See the Tech support thread I made a while ago: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... s#p5080027

I downloaded it from
https://www.matrixgames.com/game/comman ... operations
Which I think is the "product" page?? I also downloaded it from the link at the top of this thread, and tried using the CMO menu "check for updates". Do you have a link to another download that is somehow better or would work for me?

EDIT: Do you mean the 1307 installer part1 and part 2 vs the 1307.12 update? I have 1307.11.
EDIT 2: SOLUTION: Takes a bit of time, but I uninstalled everything, downloaded the large 1307 part 1 and 2 and installed them. Then I installed the 1307 update to 1307.12... Painful. The last part was a big mistake, because then I could not install any of my DLC's.... (enter the codes to activate them). So I did it all over again, uninstall, install... more pain. Now BEFORE I did the update to 1307.12.... I installed almost all of the DLC's I own manually entering in the activation codes for each (except FORD showcase). THEN I update to 1307.12.... and then hit update and install the Ford DLC. Ouch. But I'm all up to speed now. Just so you don't make the same mistake I did. Or maybe there is a faster and easier way but I couldn't figure one.

Thanks,
John

I like it a lot! This is the most plausible model so far for me. Thank you.

Not a big gamer here, CMO is about the only game I do play, but my goodness...the updates flow like cheap beer in an Olongapo bar. Thank you to the devs for their consistent work and the players that continuously submit bug reports.

Hello. new to the forum but long time player.

First off I'm playing this game on Steam.

Since this huge update that looks very impressive I haven't been able to access one of my DLC's that I purchased a year or so ago called "Aegean in Flames". It's showing on steam as a DLC as one that I've purchased in my library, but it's disappeared in the game itself. Not even showing as locked available to purchase. It's just not there. Saved games also disappeared. Totally bizarre.

Does anyone have any insight to this or anyone at Matrix games able to reach out and give me a hand with this?

Cheers

Regards

Tim-Try downloading the "Multi-DLC installer" here: https://www.matrixgames.com/member/down ... -installer and then reinstalling your DLC. You'll need your DLC installation key.

I'm not sure that'll work on Steam. I would try verifying the files on Steam first.

I have tried verifying the files and errors do come up. So uninstalled and reinstalled and still didn't work. DLC not there in game, verify files again and 3 errors still come up.
It's making me think the for some reason that particular DLC isn't compatible with the update or something.

Finally got it working and got all the files to verfiy.
I had to go into the Steam settings and delete all the cache files and log back into steam. Verfied the files again and all there, logged into the game and DLC there.
First trouble I've ever had with Steam. There system is actually pretty good overall.
Thanks for everyone's help.
