Devs moving away from NEZ?

Post by SchDerGrosse »

I migth misunderstand what I am seeing but after reading in the patch notes that some scenarios got tweaked I took a quick look in the editor and noticed that in some scenarios (instead of carpet NEZ ing every weapon) there are some unique WRA settings.

These scenarios include for example:
- Queen Elizabeth,
- Kuryl Sunrise,
- the Hail Mary scen from the Chanis of War campaign.

Is this something that is being done intenionally, or are these settings leftowers from the pre-tiny period and do not considered to be WAD.

If the former, then I am extremely happy because of my deep discontent of just flipping everything to NEZ and calling it a day.

No, that's an oversight on my part. NEZ will continue to be the default.

What a pity.

Carpet NEZ ing everything is not a very intuitive solution to the challanges posed by the new missile mechanics.

The AI is practically gimped if it can fire only at NEZ, while the player on the other hand can confortably score hits from 25-35% weapon ranges.

As this is a blanket statement without any substantiation or reference, I am just going to ignore it.

The best course of action then is to go to your safe place where noone can harm you. Not even the commissar from the WH40k universe represented in my avatar that was chosen by me some 11 years ago, when (during my youth,) I was heavily into that universe..

Jesus christ the people in here..

You might want to do a little more research before immediately hitting the "offended" button. Even I recognized the WH40K reference. Just a little advice to make it through life with a little less rage.
