Did the last two show up? I had to relearn how to do attachments. The AI engine is called DALL-E, which I imagine is a multidimensional pun on WALL-E (the PIXAR robot) and Salvidor DALI.

Notice on the pencil sketch it does not just draw a border and color it in like a 4th grader. It blends in colored pencil strokes to create shadows and a sensation of wind. Never mind that the barges are hopelessly top heavy, and nobody is manning the oars.

The gun supports look like something from the alien spaceship in Aliens.

"Vickers machine gun nest in Rabaul" I think when it does not have a specifically identifiable sample picture it has to average the difference from several images. I'm thinking this particular weapon would not be infantry portable and all the vegetation in the line of fire would be 3 inches tall.

[Vickers machine gun jungle defensive position charcoal/quote]

If this thing never existed it SHOULD have. Obviously a towed weapon. Not sure if those are ammo drums or folded up wheels on the side. Nowhere to retreat and no vehicles left so they just dug it into clay.

The Vickers machine gun is water cooled, it is an improvement of the Maxim machine gun. That thing looks more like a cannon.

I did like the picture of the rowboats with artillery on them!

Ok! On the previous page I got the watercolor attack on Manila, the charcoal drawing and the colored pencil sketch of Japanese barges 'Yamato 2', 3 and4.

And the fantasy weapons on this page. That first one is really realistic with a major droop problem (Viagra hadn't been invented yet).

It's pretty damn good but I think a forward turret is missing.

I had to write a mid 5 figure check to the IRS yesterday. This put me in a patriotic mood. I tired to get the old Nell running but the starboard engine kept overheating.

Jan 2, 1942(e)

At least 2 IJN carriers are spotted headed NE in the Philippine Sea and a surface combat group rounds the NW tip of New Guinea and is intercepted by a couple of USN DD's at night in an inconclusive engagement. Catalinas spot them during the day headed toward New Britain...no aircraft.....so the two USN carriers in the Coral Sea head north into the Bismark Sea to intercept. You can probably guess.....two USN carriers burning.

You know who is more annoying than a Tesla driver? A Range Rover driver. The Range Rover guy up the street has a detail guy up there twice a week. You just KNOW he would never take it off road. Anyway his 4 yr old son has autism and one day I find him walking up a driveway to coyote and cougarville 150 yds from his house, so I walk him back up the street to his mom who didn't even know he was gone. Then two days later Range Rover guy comes down and complains to my step-daughter about the patio doors I have in the driveway waiting for the contactor to install. I have a feeling wifey forgot to tell him about Jr.

Why do people have to be such ass-horhes?

I remember reading that April is the cruelest month. Between the IRS and the carrier disaster, maybe that is what they meant. :|

I almost made an error. I almost stated that a certain day and tax day should be the same.

Personally, I think that people should take an SUV or a pickup truck to the woods and break it in so they won't worry about it.

As far as the child goes, maybe an Air Tag or something like that on something that he wears.

Those 4 guns in the two front turrets do look funny!

Maybe you should have given them merit badges ...
For some reason the merit badge does not post. Will try in a separate post.

Scientist Says There May Be a Species of Hobbit-Like Humanoids Hiding on an Island
"These include reports of sightings by more than 30 eyewitnesses..."
Funny that you mention that. In one of the earlier WWII's there was a long story line about Yossarian on Flores...or maybe it was Milo...or maybe Cpt Ito...and living 20th Century Hobbits. Not sure there is any way to find it now. IF I had to guess it may have been WWII(c)
Oh..Jeez, I just realized that is why you brought that up. Flores Man was real. There are examples with other species that seem to get smaller when isolated on an island. Pigmy elephants for example. Not sure why the Komodo lizards are so giant.

Season 6 of Better Call Saul is on Netfix. It is fantastic. They brought in a cardiologist to try to keep the actors alive. The problem is the actors are getting older but the time frame of the story is mostly BEFORE Breaking Bad. The make-up people deserve an Emmy
