Ouch on that surface action.

Still, looking at the loss sheet, you are not doing badly. A good chunk of his CAs are resting in Davey Jones's locker, which could be why we haven't seen the KB so much--lack of good escorts.

Not sure when you plan to invade Luzon, but one place I like to land is Batangas, as there's usually not much there and it's close to Manila. You can drop a lot of naval support at the base and some support ships and use it to pummel Manila (if Bataan isn't laden with CDs--best to run some expendable ships at Manila first).

Sank at least Iboats, damaged several others some severely. Our subs scored once...but missed a really big girl.

His air losses are almost exactly 50% more than yours. That is a huge disparity. Well done!

Yes, I have targeted Japanese AF pretty well. Bombardments, bombing, CAP, LRCAP and sweeps. Varying pressure to keep his planes bouncing around from one damaged runway to the next.

Only made a few mistakes.

Also, I think PDU off give the early advantage to the Allies here.

Always knew there would be losses....but we are in position to cut off Japanese oil a year early but overall the idea is to collapse within range of Honshu before Japan gets their 44 reinforcements.

A new month rolls in, the war is running by and I feel like I am too slow...this month a lot of low production Chinese frames and some British come in. Next month is the B24J! :)

Prepping for lots of bases that touch the South China Seas or the coastal waters around Singers and Kuching and Soc Trang.

Got at least one Iboat, two Es...establishing our submarine net and invaded Brunei which seems very lightly held.

Vinh will hold for quite a while...it even gets regular supply from Quinhon and is set to stockpile. Some mines will arrive in a day or two plus more troops even AA plus Forts are 1+. This must have been an unpleasant surprise for Japan.

Amphibious Assault at Brunei (65,87)

TF 354 troops unloading over beach at Brunei, 65,87

Allied ground losses:
83 casualties reported
Squads: 0 destroyed, 37 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 7 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled
Guns lost 6 (0 destroyed, 6 disabled)
Vehicles lost 1 (0 destroyed, 1 disabled)

Quiet day...might have sunk an Iboat. Missed a tanker twice...but took Brunei which will be a major staging base.

Probably going to detour west to Singkawang area to further gain intel on IJN shipping in the South China Sea...or Soc Trang or even Mersing.

IJN bombards Quinhon for the first time....hoping our submarines can score against his ships.

Did you forget to lay mines at Quinhon?

With that moonlight, how about PT Boats as well?

More mines arrive today and more PT boats....two squadrons worth. But Japan has minesweepers and their own MTBs present.

Washington is in one of those really large floating docks at Tabby....I guess I forgot that changing priority does effect ships in ARDs.

Nice to get Brunei! How much fuel did you capture there? Getting a fuel-producing port on the South China Sea is golden! ("Black gold, that is ... Texas Tea ..." - the Beverley Hillbillies).

Not much fuel...the standard stockpile for a port with no ships based there. No refinery at Brunei.

Brunei....best port on Borneo, and will be a decent airbase in less than two weeks, will shut down Miri as a fuel supply source for Japan and be a great staging base/port.

Amazing success for moving fast....I will get recon on western Borneo and see what we see.

The plus side of losing ships is less clicks and there are far too many clicks each turn.

Some sub and PT boat engagements around Quinhon...heavy fires the ship is doomed. Mutsu bombards Quinhon meaning Japan is far behind in CV production.

If he keeps bombarding Quinhon, then a fast carrier strike with lots of Avengers with torpedoes could be rather productive. Dive bombers for scouting and extra fighters for defense.
