I don't use either of them, but I read the forum extensively and never heard anyone complain about Tracker not working with any map. Tracker draws data from the files saved by the game each turn. You need to archive the files from every turn to be able to get a time spread on Tracker, otherwise you only see data for the last turn run. Nothing to do with the map there.

Yes it does. I'm using both in my current game.

Tracker will work with the extended maps.

Be advised if you are using the new Beta or a mod map then Tracker may not put
any new bases in the right region when you do the base configuration.

Especially true for the new Beta.

You must add those regions manually to Tracker.

If you have any trouble doing that come back I 'll show you how.

I just checked. It's fine, it's working. The map that appears in the tracker is the one included with the new patch.
That's is supposing to be fine right?

Yes.

I never load the map for Tracker....I use the no map version.

What you have may not pick up the new map bases....Check the bases in Tracker and see if you have New Orleans?

Tracker simply reads the database for whatever scenario you are playing which inludes the map. It comes with some preset regional congigurations so that its database works with whatever scenario/map you are using. Problem is there are now more scenarios/maps so some do not have preset regional configs and you have to adjust them.

It's fairly simple but can take a while to do. First you need to load what you think is the closest to your requirements \file\inport\regional mapping, Immediately save via \fiel\export\regional mapping\******, I use my something or other. If you do this now tracker will always open this file and you do NOT have to save anything when you back any changes below but you shouls alway re-export after backing changes to be safe.

Once done go to the Base data set sort by region and check for any base that is unassigned. The region entry for each base is selectable so pick the correct map area repeating for all unassigned bases. It is also possible that some bases already assigned maybe in the wrong location but you can leave these until you find them during the game.

Here's my extended region but before the latest patch.

Using with the New Beta things get more complex.

Whoever set up the new map (Andy Mac?) moved some base numbers around.

Both your expanded mapping and Kull’s mapping show Aden as 815.
With the New Beta Aden is now 1814 and Suez is 815.

Java will throw exceptions but it will pick up the new bases in the new locations.
And you can see from the screen shot there are more bases like this as well.

A player can use the Java exceptions to correct his region mapping.

That's strange but I didn't have that problem?

Having not done this for a while I forgot that my Tracker install puts new bases into the first region listed under \file\ regions, in my case this is Honshu. This makes it obvious when you list bases that there are new bases as Honshu cannot have any Allied owned bases.

Attached is the an updated region file I'm now using for the latest version. Regions are either countires or island chains with a few exception where the likes of China and Japan having more than one due to how rail connects. E.g. North and South China split at the Yanghsi as there's not rail crossing. It's all yours to play with.

Yes there are bases that get placed into wrong regions.

Tracker gives you a drop down when you click on the region
to allow you to change the region.

Another advantage of Tracker….

It will pick up Device mistakes as in this case.

“Can’t find device 914 for LCU 6165”

Device 914 is a mistake in the New Beta.

Thanks for your time and your infos. It seems a little complicated...I'll try it.

I noticed that the new map has a lot of bases without SL. I wonder why..

Now I know what SL means, it depends on scenario.
