Politics => from the Greek word "Poly" meaning many and the word "Ticks" for blood sucking creatures. You can tell when those people are lying because their lips are moving.btd64 wrote: Fri May 05, 2023 12:00 pmNever heard of "morning beers" before. I have heard of "morning bourbon". Good morning folks!
Can't believe its May already, that means June is less then 30 days away, and that means summer is almost 50 days away! Time sure flies sometimes, life seems to pass on by, here today and gone tomorrow, we are just blades of grass, the sun shines and the sun sets and tomorrow my son in his youth today, will be where I am at forty years hence and will realize that another May has rolled around and June is less then 30 days away and summer is 50 days away and ponder ....

I went to the clinic but I could not walk in so some a couple of staff brought out a wheelchair for me. Inside the clinic, my blood pressure was 62/58. The CNP wanted to call an ambulance to take me to the hospital but I drove there instead. Someone came out with a wheelchair for me. I was taken to the ER where they put an IV into me for fluids. Someone did an ultrasound of my right thigh and found a blood clot but could not do the lower leg because it was too swollen. When they did a CT Scan of my chest, my lower 2/3 of my left lung was just as dense as the liver. I had a systemic infection (I think Candida Albans) as well as an infection on top of my right foot. Once the dead tissue from my right foot was removed, the hole was 5.5 cm by 4.5 cm. I had some other surgeries as well, including my final day in the hospital when the medical doctor used scissors to remove the last dead tissue on my foot - no anti pain medicine was used. At that time, I was in isolation because they did not know what was wrong with me. I was in the hospital a total of 17 days, the total time from the start of the of treatment for my pneumonia was 35 days. During that time I only lost 50 pounds and was water bloated at the end of that time since I was getting 7 to 9 IVs a day, from 1/2 litre to 1 litre IVs plus drinking almost 3 litres of water a day besides milk. The first time that they helped me to the toilet, they put a measuring device in the toilet to check the liquid output. It held 1 full litre but it overflowed the first time as well as other times.
Then I was in a nursing home for over 16.5 months, while taking medicine for over 15 months to treat the pneumonia.
Does that count as having one of those days?
Believe me, I did not quit saying THANK YOU for my caregivers during that time.

Re: THE THREAD!!!
That sucks RJ. Mine is just all in my mind, and in my head, the folded faces on the lawn, the moon baying at me mockingly, screaming at the window, the pancakes barking as I eat them, just the little things in life stirring up trouble inwards as the wheel churns out steel chars of glass, slipping off the edge…no pain medication needed just the shadows drip and scratch … better stop before she hears…

Re: THE THREAD!!!
Yes, it did suck especially since I was living in a Blazer at the time, which was the July, August, September of 2014. I got out of the hospital on the 3rd of September but I wish now that it would have been 5 days later, especially if I could have driven 4 hours to a larger hospital initially which would have put me on 100% disability.Zovs wrote: Sun May 07, 2023 1:10 am That sucks RJ. But don't trivialize your issues by just saying that it is all in your head because that can be worse than the body and much harder to heal. It can also affect the body.
But laughter is the best medicine so watch some Three Stooges or even just a "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" and get some exercise by laughing! It will help to keep any depression away and that is always a good thing.

I like to say take it one day at a time. It is pretty rough when two or more hit you all at once!
