A sleepy kind of day.

I made a batch of cinnamon rolls yesterday which is usually 36 or so small rolls. I have four left in the freezer. Too many carbohydrates make me sleepy. But there was a pot luck dinner downstairs yesterday and that is where a lot of the rolls went. One person took the last 9 rolls to her apartment. Good, then I would not have to look at them. I hate seeing fresh cinnamon rolls near me . . .

Someone brought in some very good meatballs in a sauce that had sour cabbage and raspberries in it. At least, I was told that they were raspberries . . .

Yes, they were actual meatballs. I do not live where those other things are eaten, at least as far as I know. Although some people do ingest things such as blood sausages and lutefisk (or lutfiske, whatever spelling one chooses) around here. A lot of people actually eat minnows around here, there used to be a lot of them in a bunch of rivers but not as many as there used to be. The type of minnows eaten are usually called smelt.

Of course, then there is something called Mojakka consumed by some people around here which might have a fish head floating in it.

Good morning folks.

Somethings we should eat and somethings we should not eat.

Age is a determinate as well. I can no longer eat things I used to eat, nor in the same sized portions either. Case in point, I used to be able to eat shrimp and pork, but after repeated bathroom trips at 2 am I connected the dots and stopped. Case in point two, when I was 20 and in the US Army I could order two pizza's for $10, it was a score, dinner for one night (one whole pizza and a six pack of beer) and breakfast the next morning (one whole cold pizza and another six pack of beer), the previous night's desert consisted of a case of beer. Now, I can eat two slices of pizza and one half glass of root beer and I am satisfied for dinner, and for breakfast I can have one pot of coffee and two waffles and be equally satisfied, the previous nights desert might consist of a peanut butter cream filled cookie. In one more year it will be 10 years of being sober, I had thought I was drinking 2-3 bottles of scotch a week by my youngest son informed me it was more like a bottle of scotch a day. I don't feel as bad as I used to do, and now I have to deal with mental issues instead of drinking them away. God bless the USA.

Sweet Pea was looking out the window when she saw a flash of light and then a loud boom. She :o quickly left the area. About 10 or 15 minutes later, she had her hind feet on the floor and her front feet on the ledge while she was looking outside where the sky was falling. She :( looked for about half a minute and then left the area. Oh what fun! As long as it does not rain inside . . .

I have an enclosed backyard where the kitties are free to roam outdoors, and when the back door is opened to them (they would say when the prison wards who only feed us wet food four times a day and dry food twice a day, open the prison gates at 0500 and close them at 2145) Patty Cake (inmate # 3), is always the first to scramble outside for exercise in the yard (compound), followed by Melody (inmate # 4), who in turn is usually followed by her twin sister Harmony (inmate # 5). The old felines Millie (inmate # 1) and Squeak (inmate # 2) usually make there rounds outdoors an hour or so later.

I live in an apartment building on the second floor. I will not let the cats outside, Sweet Pea will go into the hallway now for a few feet but if she hears someone, she comes running back. If I close the door when she is in the hallway, she is waiting for me to open the door. They have dry food to eat, get rather frequent treats, but only Sweet Pea wants moist food so I have to put in on the chest freezer so Danny Boy will not bury it.

I told someone who works in the mental health field that I used to sleep with two females every night. He looked envious. Then I said "One cat down there," and I pointed to the left of my left foot, "and one cat up here" as I pointed to my right shoulder. He then looked a little sheepish. I wonder why . . .

Sorry but this is how my mind works when I read your first sentence...

I live in an apartment on the 99th floor of my block
And I sit at home looking out the window
Imagining the world has stopped
Then in flies a guy who's all dressed up like a Union Jack
And says, "I've won five pounds
If I have his kind of detergent pack"

I say, "Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud"
Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud
Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around 'cause two's a crowd
On my cloud, baby

Yeah, the telephone is ringing
I say, "Hi, it's me, who is there on the line?"
A voice says, "Hi, hello, how are you?"
Well, I guess I'm doin' fine
He says, "It's 3 a.m., there's too much noise
Don't you people ever wanna go to bed?
Just 'cause you feel so good, do you have
To drive me out of my head"

I say, "Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud"
Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud
Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around 'cause two's a crowd
On my cloud, baby

Yeah, I was sick and tired, fed up with this
And decided to take a drive downtown
It was so very quiet and peaceful
There was nobody, not a soul around
I laid myself out, I was so tired
And I started to dream
In the morning, the parking tickets were just
Like a flag stuck on my window screen

I say, "Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud"
Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud
Hey (hey), you (you)
Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around 'cause two's a crowd
