DW:U won't start

I recently upgraded to Windows 11, now DWU won't start. The launcher loads, but when I Start the game it quickly aborts.

Edit: I should add that I don't know if this is specific to Windows 11. I vaguely remember having some kind of problem with Windows 10 initially.

Check the path "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Distant Worlds Universe\" for a file named DW_CrashDump.txt for a hint maybe. Also Windows Media Player needs to be installed.
