What I ended up doing installing windows to another SD card, installing all the need steam deck drivers. Installing steam and a missing Mircosoft C+ redistribute. And seems to run off that SD Card fine need to play more but so far so good.

Sure not sure how much interest as this is a very specific use case hope people find useful as it does require some tinkering:

1. After all that done install steam on windows as normal and install the game.
2. Launch Steam Big Picture mode and set controls to your liking.

I did get a missing vc1140.dll error first time tried to launch but this fixed it
