Magic units in Iron Ranger scenario?

Post by MrOrange »

Hi, everyone,

I'm currently playing the "Big red one" campaign and I'm at the 3rd scenario, "Iron Ranger".

I'm not sure if there's a trigger of some kind that I've missed, but on turn 3 or 4, some heavy Soviet units magically appear in the areas close to my victory points.
I'm not talking about few paratroopers or some airmobile units (even if I know as a fact that they're not yet available in this game). I'm talking about regiments of tanks and mech infantry that in order to be there should have went through a very hard gauntlet composed of some of my forces.

Am I missing something? Feels like all the concepts of "simulation" went out of the window, here.

Thanks

What version of the game are you using? There was a bug with a previous version where reinforcements were "moving" on the map before they arrived. That bug has been fixed in the latest version.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

2.1.2.7120.
The update check tells me I'm running on the latest version.
I can't enclose a savegame, unfortunately, but if you look at the picture, I've highlighted the remains of these forces.
Many are gone, because I placed on purpose my troops in the expected spawning hexes, but some are remaining. In addition, the victory point hexes magically changed owner.

I am encountering a very similar error in "Brothers in Arms" scenario. Also running 2.1.2.7120 and the update check tells me I'm running on the latest version.

Three Czech tanks units spawned in the middle of the NATO controlled area and ran rampage in my rear. The bug does not appear to be fixed in build 7120. Sorry, no saved game, though it was a computer plays both sides game.

Edit: Sorry, I do have a save game at the end of the game.
