Can't Deploy USS Wasp - Bug?

Playing my first game as the USA in Strategic Command WWII: World at War. For some reason I can't deploy the USS Wasp which was commissioned from production in April '40. It's now November '40 and I've gone through multiple turns of being able to deploy other assets. While I can click on the unit icon for the Wasp in the New Unit dialog the OK option does not highlight and thus is not selectable. Other units I can deploy without issue. Is this a bug or is there something special going on with the USS Wasp when it comes to deployment?

Sometimes a unit on the production screen is scheduled to become available for deployment on a specific resource hex. So you may wish to verify if the USS Wasp was ordered to be deployed on a specific port upon completion. If the port is occupied or otherwise impeded, then it cannot be deployed there, or anywhere else.

Thanks CaesarAug, that was the issue. I didn't notice that the USS Wasp needed to deploy in the Los Angeles port. There was already a ship there which was blocking the deployment. Your hint made me move all the ships I had out of their ports and voila...I could then deploy the Wasp! Much appreciated.

Oh cool! Glad I was able to help! A similar case happened to me when modding and game-testing. There was a ship I simply could not deploy and was frustratingly stumped. And then the solution became apparent!

Edit: you can easily mod deployment for a specific resource hex or for general deployment anywhere the game parameters allow for countries.

The perplexing problem was since the deployment hex was already occupied I couldn't bring up the New Unit dialog to see where the Wasp was supposed to be deployed. Kind of a Catch-22! Need to bring up the New Unit dialog to see what hex to empty but can't bring up the New Unit dialog. *lol*
