Is there a regular schedule to the Cape Town supply convoys?

Not that I noticed but you can check on the reinforcement queue and see when they come in.

If you need supplies there, send supplies from the East Coast and/or the UK.

To clarify - the reinforcement convoys are treated as LCUs, so you will find them in the LCU queue rather than the naval one. You don't do anything with the reinforcement convoys other than note what goodies they bring and wait for them to unload (in 3 days) before they self-disband. The devices they brought are dumped into the universal inventory while the supply and fuel stay at Cape Town. A few of these reinforcement convoys also arrive at Aden,

With the new beta the east coast is no longer a major supply hub for the allies. I have been sending a few convoys to England for supplies . I am suprised that England is still a powerful supply source. The east coast is not since most of those supplies would go to the ETO

In some games I play CT does not getenoughsupply to help AUS. So I pull all the dutch, CW xak off map and buildup CT supply for about 1 year while also sending some to AUS from CT.

In some games I play CT does not getenoughsupply to help AUS. So I pull all the dutch, CW xak off map and buildup CT supply for about 1 year while also sending some to AUS from CT.

I had the same solution but used the opposite resources - the huge xAPs that are difficult to dock and take forever to unload at smaller Pacific bases go to Eastern USA to hauls supply via CS convoy. They can make the trip much faster than the slow boats, they are safe from harm and VP loss, they don't burn up scarce on-map fuel and withdrawals are a breeze! Look for the two Queens, Wakefield, West Point and similar US ships, etc. Anything over 12,000 tons. For the first six months Allies don't have that many big units to move anyways (other than the Aden-Karachi run).

I convert lots of smaller xAKs to xAPs for the Pacific theatre. Much better for emptying quickly and bugging out of port before the enemy gets wise.

I also send most of the APs and AKs to the East Coast of the USA to haul supplies so they are safe until they can be converted to Assault vessels.

One thing I always wondered about was that a number of these convoys have a Garrison Unit. What are they and how do you make them work?

I suppose when the convoy disbands they'll go into the force pools for reinforcing ground units that use them like everything else in the convoy. They seem to accumulate in inventory like all other items.

Garrison units are also static so I always stockpile them so if the Garrison devices in a unit are destroyed I can the move that unit. Frontier Scouts do the same thing but they get upgraded to a different Frontier Scout device that is mobile.
